At checkout, make sure you are logged in to any existing account and that billing details match the information registered with your bank.
Sometimes you may run into issues at checkout. Below are some troubleshooting tips for some of the most common causes of checkout issues.

'An account already exists'
- You may have a Teach Starter account already! Often you either have a free account you don't recall creating, or you thought you were already logged in to your existing account but weren't. If this is the case, you may be presented with an error that an account already exists under these credentials. Simply login using that email address and visit the checkout again to proceed. If you cannot remember the password, simply reset it.
PayPal freezes or returns to the checkout
- This is also typically caused by an account already existing under the email address provided. Try logging in or resetting your password.
I keep getting a billing error
- Please check your billing details to ensure they are the correct ones linked to your card/PayPal. The address is matched against the information your bank has on file, so if you have moved since the card was issued, please try your old residential address instead. Note that your billing address is required, not your postal address.
I'm using a gift card but still being asked for billing details
- Teach Starter is a subscription platform. Just like your preferred streaming service, your billing details are required so we can ensure your Teach Starter access remains uninterrupted when it rolls over to the next billing period. You will not be charged if you have a gift card or coupon that covers the total of your subscription, and you will see the total owing change to reflect the coupon code total.
- If you do not wish to have your billing details stored, you can remove these straight away or cancel the subscription in your subscription settings.
I keep getting sent to the annual plan. I want to pay monthly!
- Teach Starter prices are shown in their monthly equivalent cost. Currently, if a monthly payment frequency is not listed, it is not available, and an annual payment will be required.
